Killer CONtent & copy

WRITING SENTENCES THAT SLAY SINCE 2012

Summon the slayer
for your writing needs.

A knight rides into battle against a dragon using a typewriter. Text says "Thar Be Word Dragons Afoot."

My name is Chad Thomas Johnston, and I'm a professional writer—a slayer of "word dragons," if you willbased in Lawrence, Kansas.

That's me in the Polaroid below, preparing to ride into battle against imaginary foes on my trusty stick-horse steed in 1984. Giddyup!

In 2012, I took knighthood to the next level, taking up a different kind of "lance" as a freelance writer.

Since then, I have become a published author, written for Parade and U.S. News & World Report's "360 Reviews" vertical, and racked up eight years of experience conjuring up content and copy for a digital marketing agency.

"Chad is a jack-of-all-trades writer, hungry to learn, willing to adapt, and delivers quality in each piece he produces. I've been privileged to work with Chad close to 7 years as an agency creative in need of a variety of web pages, blog articles, and social posts.

He is also a very skilled editor, and a creative author with his personal writing. He is thoughtful, kind, inquisitive, and has exceptional communication—everything you would want in reliable freelance talent! I would always recommend him to anyone looking for an all-around wonderful experience working with a skilled writer."

"Chad smote me and my brethren and sistren hard in a caffeinated writing rampage. I barely escaped.

He did it while sitting in a desk chair with a cat on his lap and a coffee mug in his hand.

We underestimated this stationary warrior, who came at us with a keyboard and a mouse instead of a bloodthirsty blade. My tears are the only friends I have left."
